9 year old Arthur Semay plays a main character in the French feature movie 'Un Lac' by Philippe Grandrieux

A few months ago Casting Studio was asked to cast for one of the main characters for the French art house movie 'Un Lac' by Philippe Grandrieux. Although all characters speak French in the movie the director wanted a non-French cast. Lines would be learned by heart in a phonetical way giving the film a bizare touch. About 'Un Lac': The story takes place in a country about which we know nothing about: a country of snow and dense forests, somewhere in the North. A family lives in an isolated house near a lake. Alexi, the brother, is a young man with a pure heart. A woodcutter. Alexi is terribly close to his younger sister, Hege. Their blind mother, their father, and their little brother are the silent witnesses to their overwhelming love. 9 year old Arthur Semay had over 20 days of filming making 'Un Lac' an unforgetable experience. The filming took place in France and Switzerland. The film was selected in numerous film festival all over the world. 'Un Lac' was also selected for the 65th Venice Film Festival and received a Special Mention Prize at the Orizzonti Awards.
